However, if either the data characteristics or business constraints require customization, NameSearch comes with a powerful, yet easy-to-use Generation and customization tool. The Generation tool can be used to handle new data types, customize rulebases, modify match criteria & weighting, perform frequency and statistical analysis for the prediction routines, modify or create phonetic routines and much more. The built-in testing facilities enable users to prototype and measure changes without a lengthy and expensive application testing procedure.

NameSearch is packaged as callable, runtime, reentrant modules.
The product is available on various platforms such as Windows, Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, AS/400, z/Os and more. Seamless Integration packages are available for SQL Server, Oracle, DB/2, Sybase, MySQL and other commercial RDBMS that allow application users to utilize NameSearch transparently through their database environments.
